Wow, so I don’t even really know where I left off.
[Note: I’m double-posting this entry, if I can remember how to access my accounts at both blogger and typepad.]
Well, the Beast has been put temporarily to sleep. As CJM could tell you, I have not been around at home much lately because the Beast, a project at work that I’m sure I’ve mentioned before. It’s been dragging on since, oh, March. And the last few months have been a hellish misery of late nights and general stress-related freakouts. By “hellish misery” I mean, of course, that I have had to work until midnight or later most nights – not “hellish misery” in the true sense of the word, which would be, say, entire villages being swept away by a sudden tidal wave.
But, now we’re in the lull between Christmas and New Year’s, and I’m at work but pretending not to be.
Generally, what’s new since September:
- Anniversary trip to Maine. (Meese!)
- The Great Hard Drive Crash of ’04. (Boo!)
- Homecoming! (Weird!)
- Gas logs. (Warm!)
- iPod. (Yay!)
- iTunes gave me back all the music I lost in The Great Hard Drive Crash of ’04, as long as I promise never ever to do it ever again. (Whew!)
- Thanksgiving! (Food!)
- New car. (Woo!)
- Video camera. (Fat!)
- Trip to St. Lucia with the Martins and As-yet-unborn Child Martin. ($$$!)
- Slaying of the Beast (or at least Temporary Wounding of the Beast) (Sweatpants!)
- Christmas (What? When? Where am I?)
My intention is to devote a (hopefully brief) entry to each of these things so as to bring my despairing readership up to date.
